Case Study 2
Updated: Aug 31
Patient: Male, 55 years old
Case: Fractured wrist
Physiotherapy session: Post-surgery rehabilitation
Â

The patient was referred to our physiotherapist after a wrist surgery from a fracture sustained during a fall. On his initial visit, there was marked swelling and limited movements. With proper education on the importance of movement as part of the healing process, as well as scar tissue and simple lymphatic drainage massages, the patient witnessed significant reduction in swelling. Our therapist also introduced joint mobilisation, electrical stimulation and progressive strengthening exercises. Within four weeks of rehabilitation, the patient could pursue his drone photography, and perfect the latte art for his morning coffee!
